Franky opened a new store on Granby Street. That store is long gone.. however, Birdland Music remains in business, relocating to Va. Beach in 1978 after urban renewal/distruction kicked all retail off of Church Street to make room for what turned out now 30 plus years later as NOTHING. Just the same, Birdland Music is still in operation. My oldest brother runs and operates the current business..

Bruce in Durhambhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05697728797326275143noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1536547891299971979.post-51806963210402730472009-08-11T17:40:38.025-04:002009-08-11T17:40:38.025-04:00Hey, Don. He also cut two great 45s for Guida on SPQR and Legrand under his own name. "Church Street Sally" on SPQR is a particular favorite.

Great site guys!
